FuturesPoint clients begin electronic handheld trading of Cocoa, Coffee, Sugar and Cotton

FuturesPoint announced that it received the go ahead from the New York Board of Trade to begin submitting electronic trade entries directly to the open outcry brokers through handheld electronic devices in the pits.

Orders will be routed fronm the FuturesPoint portal site in Chicago through the SDS Electronic Order Routing (EOR) distribution system in New York, and from there, directly to the Order Book Management System (OBMS) on the exchange floor.
